Fire Department

The East Aurora Fire Department is a 100% volunteer agency serving the Village of East Aurora and portions of the Town of Aurora, providing fire protection and emergency medical services since 1870. The East Aurora Fire Department is the second-oldest volunteer fire department in Erie County, answering over 1,200 alarms annually.

The Fire Department is located at 33 Center Street, and our training facilities are located at the end of Pine Street at Fireman’s Field.

Please note that as a 100% volunteer agency, the Fire Station does not have personnel in the building 24/7. If you have an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

East Aurora's 911 policy is that if at any time you feel that you have a police, fire, or medical emergency DIAL 9-1-1. Please try to remain calm so that the dispatcher is better able to assist you. Stay on the line until the dispatcher advises you to hang up. Have the following important information ready when you call:

1. Location of the incident

2. Nature of the call

3. The number you are calling from

4. Your name

Please note that the Public Safety Dispatcher taking the call may ask several more questions that may seem to consume a lot of time and are not relevant. Be assured, however, that the dispatcher is attempting to gather as much information as possible so that responding police, fire, and EMS units are prepared to help you.
